Cheap Trick releases new single from Bang, Zoom, Crazy … Hello

Cheap Trick is on a roll!

Not only will the iconic band finally enter the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame on April 8th, but will also release their long-awaited new album, Bang, Zoom, Crazy … Hello. It’s their first LP since 2009’s The Latest (the longest break between albums of their entire career), and right now you can watch the video for the second advance single, “When I Wake Up Tomorrow.”

“This song always reminds me of a sultry David Bowie song,” says Cheap Trick guitarist Rick Nielsen. “I liked it from the first time we attempted to do it. It’s just a moody, interesting piece with some heavy guitars in the middle. The last line is ‘Are you gonna be here when I wake up tomorrow,’ and then Bowie passed away after we recorded it.”

Bang, Zoom, Crazy … Hello is Cheap Trick’s first album without original drummer Bun E. Carlos, who left the band in 2010 and was replaced by Nielsen’s son Daxx. Rest assured, Carlos will be on hand for the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame induction ceremony.

Cheap Trick will tour with Heart and Joan Jett and the Blackhearts later this year.
