We’re thrilled to announce the 2013 edition of SOUNDWAVES CHRISTMAS has won one of its two WAVE Awards – in the category of MUSIC PROGRAMMING.
More than 350 entries were received for the Western Access Video Excellence (WAVE) Awards, representing community media producers in the Alliance for Community Western Region’s six states: Arizona, California, Colorado, Hawaii, Nevada, and New Mexico.
Producer Dennis Willis was understandably thrilled. “We’ve always been a music show first, but once a year, we get to give back. It’s pretty humbling and awesome to be included with all these programs that speak directly to their communities, and attempt to change the conversation.”
Producer and host Steven Kirk said, “Having the show, and everyone responsible for its creation, recognized is the cherry on top. The fact that these nominations help us continue to shine a light on the needs of those who could use help over the holiday season, that’s the real prize.”
The WAVE Awards ceremony were be held October 25, 2014 in Pasadena, California.
The 24th annual music-based fundraiser to benefit families and non-profits throughout Northern California, with performances by Haunted by Heroes, Lara Johnston, PUSH, Winnie Christian, Hanna Carter, Chris Rossetti and Kevy Nova.
