San Francisco, CA: Planet Capricorn, Inc. is proud to announce that Bay Area radio veteran Peter Finch (KMEL, KFOG, KGO) has joined the Soundwaves team and will provide exclusive episodes of his popular series The Finch Files for the outlet.
SoundwavesTV.com, originally the online home of the long-running TV series Soundwaves, has evolved into a music lifestyle website, with interviews, articles and segments that celebrate the music video generation.
Soundwaves creator Dennis Willis is thrilled about the team’s newest member. “Peter Finch has one of the most recognizable rock ‘n’ roll voices in Bay Area history, and to boot, he’s one of the sweetest guys you’ll ever meet. Peter’s take on local music and its history is simply unparalleled.”
Finch echoed the sentiment: “I’m thrilled to now be part of the Soundwaves line up. I’ve appeared on a couple of the holiday shows and it was a blast. What nice people. We’re going to have some big fun!”

About Peter Finch:
Peter Finch’s Bay Area and broadcasting roots run deep. He began his career as a disc jockey in high school (KXFM, Santa Maria), but soon found his calling as a news anchor and reporter working at alternative album rock radio stations (KBCO in Boulder, Colorado, and KFOG here in San Francisco). He recently was inducted into the Bay Area Radio Hall of Fame. In his spare time, Peter is a playwright and is involved with several local charities, especially those serving children with special needs.

Soundwaves is the award-winning music program that ran for 25 years on Bay Area television stations. The program began as a live after school music request program and grew into a location-based, rock ‘n’ roll music video format.
