Formed in 1981 by Roland Orzabal and Curt Smith, Tears for Fears was part of the Second British Invasion in the 1980s thanks, in large part, to MTV.
Their album, Songs from the Big Chair was released in February 1985 and went on to hit Number 1 in the US, Canada and Germany with a string of chart-topping hits including “Everybody Wants To Rule The World,” “Shout” and “Head Over Heels.”
Curt and Roland took a break in 1991 but teamed up again in 2000 with the release of the new album “Everybody Love a Happy Ending.” Since then, theyve toured with a combination of new material and their classic hits.
This edition of Soundwaves Front Row was shot at the 2015 Bonnaroo Music and Arts Festival in Tennessee.
And a bonus track from your friends at Soundwaves! Here’s the Literal Video version of “Head Over Heels” as imagined by DustFilms.
