We’re proud to announce the 2015 edition of SOUNDWAVES XMAS, an annual TV music event that raises funds and awareness for Bay Area charities. The 26th edition will air on KOFY-TV throughout the Bay Area on Saturday, December 6th @ 4:00 PM, with an encore December 13th @ 11:00 PM. The program will also air at various times on CreaTV, KMVT, PenTV and Pacific Coast Television.
In 2015, Soundwaves has partnered with the Rockbar Theater in San Jose to not only have an actual rock ‘n’ roll venue to broadcast from, but also to present the biggest live acts in Soundwaves Xmas history, including rock superstars ALIEN ANT FARM, BITERS, and rising local acts PUSH, MEGAN SLANKARD, STRANGE HOTEL, and KEVY NOVA! But the highlight will be the first TV appearance of the THE BABYS in almost 35 years!
Special guests will include KGO-TV anchor Dan Ashley, KFOG’s Mike “No Name” Nelson, Creature Features’ John Stanley, and more surprises! Soundwaves Xmas supports dozens of charities, including Toys for Tots, Old Skool Cafe, Rock the CASA, Charity: Water, HomeFirst, and #BoobProject.
Hosted by Soundwaves regulars Dennis Willis, Steven Kirk and Joe McCaffrey, with Leilani Hanaike, Veronica Castro and veteran broadcaster Peter Finch, the show will also feature the world premiere of the trailer for the documentary Welcome to Soundwaves.
