THE LAST MAN ON EARTH CO-STARS WILL FORTE AND KRISTEN SCHAAL JOIN THE PARTY!
We’re proud to announce the 2016 edition of SOUNDWAVES XMAS, an annual TV music event that raises awareness for Bay Area nonprofits.
Emmy-nominated actor Will Forte and his The Last Man on Earth co-star Kristen Schaal will appear on the program for the first time.
Hosted by Soundwaves regulars Dennis Willis (Soundwaves 10@10), Steven Kirk and Joe McCaffrey, with Leilani Hanaike, Suzanne St. John-Crane, and veteran broadcaster Peter Finch (The Finch Files).
The stage at J7 Studios in Moss Beach will be the home to exciting musical performances from PUSH featuring Dan Ashley, essence, Sam Johnson, The Sweet Divide, and Bray and the Dens. The show will also feature a special performance from holiday supergroup December People (featuring members of Greg Kihn and Sammy Hagar’s bands).
Popular Bay area combo Bayonics will appear live from The Mezzanine in San Francisco. Soundwaves Xmas will also feature special performances from Megan Slankard, and Robert Berry and Jack Foster.
Special guests will include KGO-TV anchor Dan Ashley, and Bay Area veteran broadcasters Chip Franklin, Brian Copeland, Ronn Owens, Nikki Medoro, Bret Burkhart, Creature Features‘ John Stanley, Mike “No Name” Nelson, and more!
Soundwaves Xmas will also feature an exclusive KFOG reunion with Peter Finch, “Irish Greg” McQuaid and Renee Richardson.
Nonprofits supported include HomeFirst, The Way Mentors, Critical Resistance, All Stars Project, Waste No Food, the San Francisco Firefighters Toy Program, Blue Bear School of Music, Rock the CASA, Planting Justice, Fresh Lifelines for Youth (F.L.Y.), and the Do It For the Love Foundation.
The 27th edition will stream exclusively online beginning December 16th and make its broadcast premiere on KOFY-TV throughout the Bay Area on Sunday, December 18th @ 10:00 PM PST.
The program will also air at various times on CreaTV, KMVT, PenTV and Pacific Coast Television, and be available online in its entirely or in sharable clips.
