After providing data for hundreds of Soundwaves 10@10 episodes, Intern Steve steps into the spotlight with a deep dive into All Things 80s. Almost every episode will be two parts … each half a distinctly different subject from its counterpart … seemingly unrelated pop culture and music topics that (more often than not) will have a connection!
Today we’re going to hear a couple “summer songs”. We’re going to hear a song that Tom Petty had probably wished he hadn’t turned down and we’re going to hear about the beginning of the end for Napster. You’ll hear all that and more on Christy’s Desert Island Disc.
1. Don Henley – Boys Of Summer
2. Bryan Adams – Summer of ’69
3. Van Halen – Right Now
4. Journey – Don’t Stop Believin’
5. Bob Seger – Night Moves
6. Rolling Stones – Gimme Shelter
7. Boston – More Than A Feeling
8. Pat Benatar – Shadows Of The Night
9. George Michael – Freedom
10. Madonna – Music
11. Bonus Track: Foreigner – I Want To Know What Love Is
