After providing data for hundreds of Soundwaves 10@10 episodes, Intern Steve steps into the spotlight with a deep dive into All Things 80s. Almost every episode will be two parts … each half a distinctly different subject from its counterpart … seemingly unrelated pop culture and music topics that (more often than not) will have a connection!
Today we’re going to hear a song from an artist who debuted her music video at a Superbowl. We’re going to hear a song that charted twice – once in the 80s and then again over 25 years later. And, we’re going to hear a song originally recorded in a bathroom . . . while it wasn/t meant to be ironic, you’ll hear exactly why it is.
1. Journey – Faithfully
2. Paula Abdul – Straight Up
3. Joan Jett & the Blackhearts – I Love Rock ‘n’ Roll
4. Blondie – Heart of Glass
5. Bonnie Tyler – Total Eclipse of the Heart
6. King Grannis – Can’t Help Falling in Love
7. Sasha Sloan – Dancing With Your Ghost
8. INXS – New Sensation
