It’s a 90’s Thing #15 – Bay Area Bands & One Pump Chumps

After providing data for hundreds of Soundwaves 10@10 episodes, Intern Steve steps into the spotlight with a deep dive into All Things 90s. Almost every episode will be two parts … each half a distinctly different subject from its counterpart … seemingly unrelated pop culture and music topics that (more often than not) will have a connection!

We’ll hear from one of the 90s most temperamental artists . . . So much so that immediately following his band’s second album, he was the last man standing. We’ll debut a new segment called “What Have You Done For Me Lately,” and we’ll hear from a very talented woman who’s label wanted her to tone down her “lesbian look” – a comment not received well by the artist … and they never recorded a follow up.

  1. Glad to hear pray on this one. Prince was notoriously stingy about letting people use samples so for Hammer to be able to use one of Prince most famous riffs was kinda cool. And Believe it or not Pray was Hammer’s biggest hit if I remember right. Even though people only remember the other 2 hits.
