It’s not exactly Birth of The Boss, but it’s close!
Bruce Springsteen has unearthed over two dozen live releases, including several that were only just recently discovered.
Since August 4th, Springsteen’s SiriusXM channel has started running a series of rare concerts, only a fragment of the collection of Chas Gerber, Springsteen’s former sound engineer.
Neither fully mixed down, nor in stereo, the releases allow fans to relive the concerts of Bruce’s 1977 tour directly from the soundboard, including Feb 7 in Albany NY (of which no recording has known to be public before now). Jim Rotolo and Brad Serling stated on SiriusXM radio that new downloads with be released the first Friday of every month, with 25 new shows lined up.
Meanwhile, Springsteen continues conquer new worlds with his plans to appear on Broadway later this fall.
